Halloween and Thanksgiving

 Sergeant was - Pope Sergeant the 3rd for Halloween !!

 Prada had surgery this month - a few cysts removed - routine surgery until her stitches broke open! Long story short - emergency vet = more surgery and an Elizabethan cone to wear around the house.

 Poor fur baby!!

 The fur babies and I in the truck - very cold!! Crazy adventures on the interstate - car trouble from the big company truck - luckily the in laws were only an hour away and came to the rescue! A few more days of vacation due to truck repairs.

 I brined three turkeys this Thanksgiving - one we ended up frying - wasn't scary at all! Actually easier than I thought! Very moist!!

happy 35th anniversary to the two bestest parents a girl could ask for!

 Dad felt good enough to take a car ride yesterday! So pleased that he is feeling better! I helped him pick out 36 roses for my mom (35th wedding anniversary + 1 extra rose for good luck!!) Love love love to my parents! Had to post this pic because I found this vintage pitcher at my mom's and the roses fit like a glove in it! I also love photographing my mother's wall of Parisian art, brought back from all of her trips to the French Open!

An espresso kind of a day

 This week my mother, my fiance's mom, and I all took a break from our busy schedules and met at the downtown hotspot, Kindgom Coffee and Cycles. I really enjoyed many aspects about this new coffee joint, one being the industrial design throughout (one of my favorite types of interior architecture, as well as 60s mod, of course!!) The organic simplicity fills the space as you enter, just as the aromatic smell of coffee hits you! I swear -- As soon as that lovely little cup of dark rich espresso hit my lips I felt bliss, sinking into my chair with pure relaxation on the mind. I will definitely be visiting this joint again, perhaps after viewing a film at The Moxie (our local independent Nickelodeon).

Steam punk and faux fur galore

 This past weekend while the fiance was relaxing and searching for new homes on the worldwide web, I sewed together some more precious handmade baby booties.  I call these purplicious steampunk booties!

 The puppies, of course, spent the weekend snoozing and staying cozy!
